Hello classmates and welcome to our web site!  This is where we start the reunion party, were we get reacquainted and where we share our lives through our profiles, in live chat and here in forums. So please complete as much of your profile as you're comfortable with and share a little of your life's journey that took you from graduation day to today to help us get to know who you are now.  And don't forget to inlcude photos, they are always a fun way to tell the story of your life and we want to see as many as possible - past and present!

We - your reunion committee - set up your basic profile with your name and senior yearbook photo. If your photo wasn't in our senior yearbook, we used one from another year.  Feel free to change it if you prefer a different picture, but please use a photo from our high school years as your main profile photo to help trigger our 50+ year old memories. The combination of name and picture recognition is so helpful for stimulating a poor memory!   For our Guest Members, we only ask that you don't use your senior picture for your profile photo so that we are easily identified as the class of '74.

In the column to your left, you'll see "Please complete the 40th Reunion survey".  Those of you on facebook are familiar with the survey and might have taken it already.  We are still interested in your opinions about the reunion so please take a moment to fill it out.

Also, take a look at the "Missing Classmates" list. It is a long one. Let's all work together and try to find as many of those classmates as possible.  And please help spread the word about this web site and our reunion!  The more classmates that attend the reunion, the more fun it will be!

Thanks,

Your reunion committee

Leslie, Janelle, Mary, Merrilee and Rosie

Wow! We've had over 20 classmates create profiles these past three days; including our first teacher - Aline Fillers! Thank you for joining the web site and welcome to the virtual celebration! Please take some time to check out your fellow classmates profiles and don't be shy about leaving a comment.  This is were we can start reconnecting so by August 16th, when we all come together in Long Beach, it will truly be a reunion of old friends without any awkwardness.

And to all of our new "Guest Members" from other classes, if time allows, I'll try to add a yearbook photo to your profile, but if you have a favorite yearbook photo of yourself, please feel free to add it.  All we (the reunion committee) ask is that you not use your senior picture. We'd like to keep that special photo for our class, since it is our reunion! wink

I wish to thank the Reunion Committee for all their efforts to not only do the work behind the scenes, but all the time and energy to make us feel welcome.  Janelle, Leslie, Mary, Rosie, Merrilee, Amy, Becky, and all the rest who took valuable time to put it all together - THANK YOU!  I had a wonderful time catching up, remembering when, and laughing and smiling - before and after!   It was a wonderful weekend that I trust won't take 40 years to get back in touch with those that made a difference in our lives.  I'll keep a hopeful thought that those who have not yet filled out profiles, will.   You all played a part in making us who we/I am today.   My greatest appreciation....

I couldn't agree more.  Superb job by the committee and all of the people who provided help in making this a memorable event for all who attended.  It was my first reunion and hopefully not the last.  Saw some great people who have been working hard to share their uplifting spirit.  I missed the first reunion because my brother died that year.  But, I am so glad I made this one.  Still like to see some others who couldn't make it and am proud to have gone to school with such a great group of people.

Hello,

Just wanted to thank the Reunion Committee for all their fine work in putting this wonderful event together.  It was very well planned and organized, although we could have done without the lifting and raising of the chairs to win the centerpiece!  : )  Thank you for including the additional classes 71-73!

Good luck to everyone and thanks again!

Hi Dieter, I am so sad that you were stuck at the airport. I would have come to get you had I known you were stuck. I did miss you as well as others who did not make it. The Picnic the next day was very low key, but a nice time to chat, because it was low key. My cell  number is (760) 802-8652. I look forward to next year and the following years of low key events to have mini reunions.

Dieter,

I would have been happy to have been stuck at LAX.  Personally I am never stuck anywhere, I know my way around LA quite well, and still have several friends in the area I could have called on to come and get me.  I was unable to even attend this reunion (which I would have liked to have been able to do) and am hoping I can attend the next function these fine committe members have in store for our class.  Please don't be sad/mad over things that cannot be controlled or are of unusual circumstances... Not everything in life goes as planned, and even at our age, we have to be flexable and change and go with the flow.

Here's hoping to be at the next function and hopefully it won't be a long time in the future.

Mary Tahash (Martini)

I know Janelle, Mary, Merrilee and Rosie share my feelings when I say I am humbled and touched by all your kind words.  Seeing everyone enjoying themselves at all three reuion events and all the post-reunion words of appreciation made all of our efforts even more worth while.   And to Dieter, to get so close and miss the reunion had to be extremely frustrating.  If you have been receiving my emails, you would have email addresses for all five of us, and for the past couple months, I included my phone number on all the email blasts.  But I know when I'm in an extremely frustrating situation, I often overlook information that is close at hand.   There has been lots of talk of not waiting for another milestone year to have a reunion, so hopefully next year, Dieter, you'll get to participate in a reuion gathering.  In the meantime, please take adavantage of the web site as a way to virtually reconnect and maybe even make plans to actually meet up with old LHS friends.

yes smiley
